Heckler & Koch and SNT MOTIV enter into strategic partnership in South Korea
Heckler & Koch and SNT MOTIV have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at ADEX in Seoul. In this agreement, both companies establish a strategic partnership for joint market activities in the field of modern assault rifles. The aim of the collaboration is to combine Heckler & Koch's technological excellence and system expertise with SNT MOTIV's manufacturing and market strength, thereby providing optimal support for future projects of the Korean armed forces.
The MoU marks the beginning of a deepened cooperation between the two companies. The main focus is on the planned "Next Generation Rifle" (NGR) programme of the South Korean defence procurement agency DAPA, which is set to launch from 2026. Heckler & Koch and SNT MOTIV intend to pool their respective strengths to offer the Korean armed forces a high-performance, modern, and future-proof system.
“With SNT MOTIV, we have a strong and highly competent partner at our side, who has many years of experience in the Korean defence market,” says Marco Geißinger, Chief Sales Officer of Heckler & Koch. “Together, we want to fulfil the high demands of the Korean armed forces in the best possible way – with proven technology, first-class quality, and local value creation. This partnership is a strong signal for our international growth strategy.”
The signing of the MoU took place during a ceremonial event at ADEX in Seoul.
